At FIDAE, Diehl Defence is presenting a selection of product highlights at the German Pavilion in Hall E. The products on display not only include the advanced AIM-9L/I-1 SIDEWINDER air-to-air guided missile, operative in more than 30 Air Forces worldwide, but also the RBS 15Mk 3 heavy anti-ship missile as the main armament of the new German Corvette K130 and the ORKAN-class speed boats of the Polish Navy.
Diehl´s point-target ammunition SMArt 155 offers modern artillery new possibilities of long-range, target engagement. To avoid unexploded duds, the SMArt 155 ammunition contains a self-destruction device.

The three PELE 20mm, 27mm and 30mm ammunition variants can be employed in machine guns for helicopters and land vehicles, naval guns, aircraft cannons as well as for air defence and coastal protection. Effective cover improving the operational capability of armed forces, is provided by the 76mm rapid smoke grenade as well as the Floating Smoke Pot, which is in service with the U.S. Marine Corps.
Based on the new HPEM (High Power Electro Magnetic) technology, Diehl Defence offers different effectors capable of protecting convoys against improvised explosive devices, stopping getaway vehicles and preventing unauthorized access to critical facilities.
As an important partner of the Chilean Army, Diehl Defence has been supplying system tracks and spare parts for the main battle tanks LEOPARD 1 and 2, the armoured infantry combat vehicle MARDER, as well as the M109 self-propelled howitzer and the M113 armoured personnel carrier since 2000. At the exhibition, Diehl Defence is also presenting its new segmented rubber band tracks which are currently available for vehicles with a total weight of up to 22 tons. This track model has proved its worth on the BV 206(S) armoured personnel carrier of the Bundeswehr.
