G-NIUS, a leader in the development and manufacturing of unmanned ground systems, unveiled its Hybrid Unmanned Ground Vehicle and its unique robotic suite that enables any vehicle to perform as an unmanned vehicle, at the Israel National Pavilion, Hall 6, Stand 621.
The Hybrid Multipurpose Vehicle (HMV) is designed for any unmanned surveillance, intelligence, defense and homeland security mission, increasing safety and reducing personnel requirements in the field. The HMV includes two motor options: an electric motor that enables high level of maneuverability, while remaining undetected due to a noiseless ride or an electronic and diesel motor, allowing the vehicle to travel long distances while charging the electric motor's battery. Both motor options enable the vehicle to carry loads of up to 1.2 tons. The system has a low thermal signature and an advanced control system, as well as a low profile. The system includes an Elbit Systems stabilised weapon station.
The Core Unit is a small footprint robotic suite that allows any ground transportation platform to become an unmanned vehicle - protecting forces while savings in manpower. The suite includes all the systems necessary for defense, intelligence and surveillance missions: a mission computer, navigation unit, video audio system and power distribution unit. It has a day/night uncooled thermal camera, rear and side cameras and a communication system. It can optionally include an obstacle avoidance system and an optical surveillance sensor, as well as any other sensors, tailored to suit the customer's requirements. Easy to install and cost-effective, the system is immune to extreme temperatures.
G-NIUS CEO, Yoav Hirsch, commented: "We are pleased to launch two new unmanned vehicles solutions for the protection of armed forces. The solutions are suitable for any mission and include capabilities that have been accumulated in more than seven years of operational activities, equivalent to 60,000 man-hours. The Hybrid Multipurpose Vehicle and the Robotic Suite are force multipliers to any UGV platform, and we are witnessing interest in these solutions by various organisations around the world."
G-NIUS, a leading provider of unmanned ground systems, develops and manufactures a variety of 24/7, all-weather, all-terrain field-proven autonomous unmanned ground systems - which are based on a common, versatile and layered avionics suit. Employing highly-skilled personnel, the Company has accumulated extensive capabilities, know-how, and expertise in a wide range of technologies - and is a pioneer and innovator in the utilization of emerging technologies in navigation, control, AI, and 3D imaging. One of its goals is to equip military and law enforcement personnel with systems that balance the asymmetries in today's armed conflicts. G-NIUS is a joint company of Elbit Systems and IAI.
