Today, at 1100h and again at 1500h, IBD Deisenroth Engineering (booth K571 in the German Pavillion) is showcasing IBD Nano-Technologies in form of Integrating Vehicle Survivability.
Based on IBD’s long lasting experience in the design of armoured vehicles, a significantly reduced weight of the platform with an increased basic protection level has been achieved. As a further consequence, the amount of necessary add-on armour is greatly reduced, and when needed, the platform is already prepared for a modular protection concept. Integrating Vehicle Survivability becomes particularly relevant when large and new threats like medium and high calibre KE, AT-weapons and heavy mines/IEDs have to be considered.
An important part of this concept is the use of light weight but high strength composite structural parts. Hatches, doors, ramps, etc., constitute the standard steel components by composite parts significantly reduces the overall weight of the hull.
More information will be given during the company’s demonstration at 1100h and again at 1500h at booth K571 in the German Pavillion.
On Thursday, at 1100h and again at 1500h, IBD Deisenroth Engineering will be presenting Protection agains Future Heavy Threats.
