At Eurosatory 2014, RUAG and GAVAP will be displaying products and services together for the first time since the Swiss acquired GAVAP late in 2013. Now together the two companies benefit from a wider range of technology and new R&D opportunities.
Prior to the merger both companies were strong forces in the world of simulation and training, and have been involved in joint projects spanning both live and virtual for 10 years. Since joining forces both companies have been able to benefit from technology pooling, and the extended product portfolio.
During the Eurosatory both companies' products will be displayed together on the GAVAP branded booth. Centre stage will be taken by the SITTAL NG, an indoor simulator for training shooters of individual or crew-served light weapons. The simulator is highly accurate and sophisticated enough to allow 10 identical or different weapons to train simultaneously. Also on display will be the SOTA2G for the intense training of acquiring, maintaining and improving procedures for the control and application of artillery fire by all-arms artillery observation crews and forward observers.
RUAG's Gladiator Man Worn Unit and its interoperability with multiple laser codes will also feature heavily on the stand. This system is one of the most advanced examples of a fire and movement trainer for individual soldiers in the world.
The Eurosatory will be the best opportunity to see the true breadth of the internationally proven and world class simulation and training equipment that is now under the RUAG banner.
