The UZI PRO pistol by IWI (Israel Weapon Industries) is a modernized Micro UZI semi-auto pistol based on the world famous UZI sub-machinegun. Different versions were sold worldwide by 20 Mio. units. The new blow-back operated 9 mm UZI PRO incorporates advanced polymers in the lower section of the receiver resulting in lighter weight and relocation of the magazine release to more practical and traditional pistol based location.
The charging handle has been moved from the top to the left side of the receiver. This allows a full-length Picatinny rail to the top. An additional rail is incorporated in the polymer lower for lights and lasers use direct under the barrel. The UZI PRO has three safety features: Manual thumb safety, grip safety and a firing pin block.
Each UZI PRO pistol comes with two magazines (1x 20 & 1x 25 rounds), a 32 round magazine is available. There will be two versions: the basic version and the UZI PRO SB with side-folding Stabilizing Brace (SB), produced for IWI by SB Tactical LLC. Barrel length is 4 ½’’, overall length is 9 ½’’ with a weight of 3.66 lbs.
