Austrian ÖSWAG Werft Linz AG is presenting its range of boats for military and law enforcement. At display is the ARBEITSBOOT (Work Boat). 18 of these were bought by the Austrian Army for the Military Engineering troops, which are using it on the Danube River.
Main Data: length 8.60 m, draught 0.33 m, speed up to 60 km/h and a weight of 2.5 t. The hard chin hull is made of seawater resistant aluminum and the boat is powered by a Steyr Motors marine diesel engine SE268E40 with 266 hp.
With the Flachwasserboot ÖSWAG offer a similar but without a bow door, but therefore it is faster (up to 65 km/h).
