Schmidt & Bender released their new Polar T96 rifle scope aimed at shooters who need to make precision shots in low-light ambient conditions. At the moment the Polar T96 is available in a 2.5-10x50 version. Schmidt & Bender promises that this is a rifle scope with more than 96% total light transmission. For that they have optimized the wavelength depending transmission to suit the human eye sensitivity under low light conditions. The Polar T96 has a max. transmission of 96.37%, while 94,38% in day transmission and 93.53% at night. The user can choose between two configurations: reticles on 1st (conventional) or 2nd (diffractive) focal plane. Weight is 650 g with a length of 336 mm.
And there is more to come: at the end the Polar series should include three different products, the Polar T96 2.5-10x50, a 4-16x56 and a 3-12x54.
