EXPAL presents its latest proposals and solutions in systems and services for the defense and security sectors; with the aim of providing an integral service to the Armies. EXPAL shows, among other products, its whole high performance artillery ammunition line, with a firing range of up to 40km for the 155mm howitzer, or up to 20km for the 105mm, and its Integrated Mortar System for 81/60 mm on a 4x4 light vehicle, EIMOS, a proven system.
EIMOS 81 mm Integrated Mortar System: EIMOS provide the necessary firepower and mobility to support the units in missions where time and mobility are critical, at a reasonable cost and easy maintenance. EIMOS system can also be adapted to the customer needs and final requirements, while facilitating integration with legacy systems such as vehicles, communications means or other command and control (C2) systems. EIMOS can be used in association with TECHFIRE, the EXPAL Fire Support Information System. The precision on shooting data and ballistic corrections are calculated in an automatic way, allowing a shooting optimization that decreases munitions consumption and collateral damages.
At DSEI 2015, EXPAL presents the new version of the EIMOS 81 system with a series of improvements in different areas such as ergonomics – with a new platform integrated in a URO VAMTAC with 4 crew cabin seats – sensors integration – new meteorological station for ballistic calculations improvement – and a new version of the indirect fire support information system of EXPAL: TECHFIRE with new functionalities and a simplified and more intuitive interface.
EIMOS keeps the great advantages that it already offered in its previous design and that make it unique in this type of arms systems. Its soft recoil system, with no need of the use of additional stabilization support, the automatic aiming system or its firepower capabilities of 360ยบ are advantages the market and user have recognized and valued.
EXPAL offer on Powders and Propellants is another highlight at the show. The combination of know-how, experience and capacities in this field allow EXPAL to carry out specific developments and offer innovative solutions in the area, such as the re-graining of rocket motors for missiles and short and medium-range pitchers, which enables the update of Armies’ missile capacities, by optimizing their resources.
