Nasmyth Group, a leading global supplier of precision engineering products and services, has earlier announced that one of its subsidiary businesses, Nasmyth Technologies Coventry - Chinn Ltd, has received an IQS Gold Award from AgustaWestland, one of the world’s leading helicopter companies.
Over the course of the accreditation process, Nasmyth Technologies Coventry - Chinn Ltd progressed in just a matter of months through the Bronze and Silver stages before achieving Gold status.
AgustaWestland representatives Jerry Prideaux, Head of Supply Chain, and Steve Cook, Supplier Quality Engineer presented the award to Nasmyth Technologies Coventry - Chinn Ltd on 14th July.
One of only nine AgustaWestland suppliers to have achieved the Gold Award status, Nasmyth Technologies Coventry - Chinn Ltd was judged on a set of criteria that included delivery and product quality based on the number of defects per million. As a result of its impressive performance, the Nasmyth Technologies Company has now become qualified to deliver its products direct to AgustaWestland’s build line and inventory.

Currently employing some 100 skilled engineers, CAD/CAM mechanics, sheet metal technicians and welding specialists, Nasmyth Technologies Coventry - Chinn Ltd is one of the UK’s most technically advanced assembly manufacturers, specialising in low volume, complex components and precision machined lightweight structures for the aerospace, marine and engineering industries.
The Company can produce structural and turned components up to the largest sizes required by its customers as well as large scale aluminium, stainless steel, titanium and rare alloy assemblies. Fully conversant with the latest reverse engineering techniques, Nasmyth Technologies Coventry - Chinn Ltd also works with customers to provide quality assured repair and overhaul services.
