The DiSTI Corporation, a leading provider of graphical user interface software and customized 3D virtual maintenance training solutions today announced a subcontract award from Fidelity Technologies for the development of digital animated system schematics and bench maintenance components for the Pilatus PC-12NG aircraft.
DiSTI’s comprehensive suite of 3D virtual environment development tools, VE Studio, will create the Bench Maintenance Components (BMC) and Full Color Schematic Boards (FCSB). The digital BMCs encompass the hydraulic, electrical, landing gear, propeller, the anti-ice/de-ice systems, and the hydraulic reservoir. The digital FCSBs include animated schematics for many of the same systems, in addition to the engine, fuel, pressurisation, pneumatic, fire detection, and flight control systems. The digital BMCs and FCSBs will be delivered to Fidelity in 2016 for integration into the full PC-12NG training system.
“We are pleased that Fidelity saw beyond producing these schematics as hardware-based panel boards and decided to implement a digital solution,” said Joe Swinski, President and CEO of The DiSTI Corporation. “This approach will ensure a better end-user experience and improve trainer maintainability.”
David Gulati, President of Fidelity further stated, “As a leading provider of integrated training systems, Fidelity strives to provide our customers with training solutions which leverage current state of the art, supportable technologies. The DiSTI VE Studio is an innovative, cost effective training aid which benefits both the user and maintainer by providing consistent and effective training.”
