According to Carsten Aagesen, Invisio's Senior Vice President, Global Sales & Marketing, "protection goes hand in hand with seamless communication and a natural level of situational awareness."
Ensuring mission success requires technologies that cope with the modern soldier's or police officer's main attributes - mobility, sustainability, and the ability to communicate. He told MT that with the Tactical Communication and Protection System (TCAPS) delivered to US Army and with similar systems provided to military and security forces in Canada, Australia, Denmark, and the United Kingdom, both the cognitive and physical burden can be significantly reduced.
All the expertise on offer by Invisio is being utilised by most Special Forces units in the military, as well as in law enforcement SWAT teams. "Lately, we have expanded our foothold in the 'Green' (Regular) Army, and we also expect to see an increased demand from law enforcement units outside of SWAT teams," Aagesen said at Milipol 2015, in Villepinte.
He provided an interesting example: When a police officer is involved in a riot control mission, which is most typically being found in his daily logbook, this can result in high noise risks, so there will be a significant need to upgrade his communication equipment to ensure mission success.
